Ijeoma Onyeji-Nwogu is a visiting fellow at the Center for Global Development. Her current research interests focus on how disruptive technologies (such as the Internet of Things and Big Data) affect sustainability across industries, with special attention on the energy sector in developing countries.
 
Onyeji-Nwogu has consulted for various international organizations, including the IAEA, UNIDO, and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, supporting a variety of projects in the field of sustainable energy. She has published reports and articles on issues including solar photovoltaic and smart electricity industries, economics of energy access and energy planning in developing countries, or sustainability of nuclear power development. She was also involved in launching the UN Secretary-General’s Sustainable Energy for All Initiative.
