Cassandra Baker is executive assistant to CGD President Masood Ahmed. She earned her master of arts in International Affairs at the New School in New York. Before joining CGD, she was an assistant in the IMF’s Capacity Development Unit within the Legal Department working on initiatives on Anti Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism.
Baker has lived abroad in Argentina, Guatemala, and Mexico working on projects related to women’s economic development, education, and urban poverty reduction. She also completed a fellowship in Uganda with the World Bank and Cities Alliance on a slum upgrading campaign.
A native New Yorker, Baker moved to Washington, DC in 2010. She is proficient in English and Spanish.
