Norman McKay was an intern for Liliana Rojas-Suarez, focusing on financial access and stability research. He is currently pursuing his master’s in International Economics and Latin American Studies from Johns Hopkins University SAIS. Prior to joining CGD, McKay interned at the Mexican Ministry of Finance where he helped analyze labor market conditions in Mexico’s planned Special Economic Zones.
At SAIS, McKay completed research on FinTech’s impact on financial stability in Mexico, labor market constraints in Colombia, and economic liberalization’s effect on regional inequality in Mexico.
A native of the DC area, McKay graduated from James Madison University in 2013 with a BA in International Affairs.
